Utrecht Celebrates Love Through Art at De Confluence’s 3rd European Convocation & 12th International Exhibition

The 3rd European Convocation and 12th International Level Art Exhibition of De Confluence, the Western Wing of Sarbabharatiya Sangeet O Sanskriti Parishad, was held successfully on 14th & 15th February 2026 at the ZIMIHC Theater Stefanus. This 2-day celebration of cultural expression represented a vibrant expression of love, not from a romantic standpoint, but from a commitment to artistic expression as well as cultural and creative passion.
Strengthening its cultural bridge from India to Europe, the Parishad is once again providing the basis for an international artistic gathering through the grand convocation. This event brought together artists, dignitaries, and cultural enthusiasts from Europe, America and India creating a fusion of cultures, talents and feelings.
Participants were inspired by the presence of Dr. Santanu Sengupta (the Secretary of the Parishad) – whose vision and continued dedication is helping to support the continued growth of the global cultural journey that the organization is undertaking. As a result, participants could see that the Parishad’s mission is to promote art and nurture artistic expression across all borders.
The European chapter was led by Dr. Lipika Bhattacharyya, accompanied by Mr. Nilanjan Bhattacharyya. Representing the American wing were Ms. Joita Dashmunshi and Ms. Kasturi Sen Bhunia. Their collective participation highlighted the truly international character of the Parishad and reflected a unified commitment to cultural exchange.
The convocation and art workshop, held over the course of 2 amazing days, was much more than a formal ceremony; it was a lively artistic venue for expressing love by means of dance, music, poetry, and many other forms of creative presentation. Each performance contained deep emotion and was dedicated to culture as well as being a living example of artistic passion. The performers had a strong connection to the audience that went beyond language barriers and nationalities. From their performances, they were celebrating their cultural diversity, as well as celebrating art as an international means of bringing people together through rhythm, melody, poetry, and movement.
The Convocation and the art exhibition were held appropriately on Valentine’s weekend demonstrating that love is much larger than just our personal relationship with another person; it also exists in our dedication to creativity, our reverence for tradition, and our common artistics. The experience as human beings expressing ourselves the last curtain fell at the close of this glorious two-day event in Utrecht, there was no question in my mind that the strength of culture has a tremendous ability to unite us all. Even though the oceans and other geographic features separate us as countries, art and passion are still the factors that unite us as one.
