The Territorial Army’s 2.0 Symposium 2026, held on 24-28 August at Fort William, was graced by nearly 300 jawans representing diverse cultural traditions from cultural units belonging to Indian cultural units which, participated in the event, thus portraying the nation’s rich unity and spirit of service.
The symposium witnessed close to 12 cultural units from various parts of the country, from Manipur, Ladakh, Mizoram, Kashmir, Punjab, Madras, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, the Andaman Islands, the Gorkha community and other parts taking part.
The teams, while participating, portrayed the diverse cultural traditions, values and artistic expressions of their communities.
A significant contribution to the success of the cultural programme was made by Ratnamani Jhumur Ghosh, examiner and centre-holder of Sarbabharatiya Sangeet O Sanskriti Parishad, who guided and trained the participants. Her guidance, mentorship and leadership helped the participants to prepare for the cultural presentation.
All the Territorial Army units showcased their talents at the Dhodanno Auditorium on 27 August, which turned out to be an entertaining event for all the participants. Senior Territorial Army officials and other dignitaries witnessed the splendid performance.
A ceremony was organized at the end of the program in which Ratnamani Jhumur Ghosh was congratulated by the Territorial Army Bridge Sir and other officers for her exemplary contribution and leadership. The event was considered a prestigious honor for her services to the cause.
The appreciation continued the next Thursday, when she was given an appreciation certificate and letter for her valuable contribution to the symposium.
Thus, the Territorial Army 2.0 Symposium turned out to be a festival that celebrates not only culture but also unity, leadership, discipline, and the diverse cultural strength of India.
