Young Artists Take Centre Stage at Bombay Baroque’s Art Exhibition

Celebrating the power of imagination, creativity and artistic expression, Bombay Baroque Art Studio successfully organised its 2nd Annual Art Exhibition from August 29 to September 5 at Hiranandani Estate, Thane. The week-long exhibition provided a vibrant platform for 50 young artists, aged between 4 and 18 years, to showcase their original artworks and share their creative journeys with art lovers and visitors.

Founded by Ms. Paramita Chowdhury, a contemporary artist and full-time art teacher, Bombay Baroque Art Studio has been creating a nurturing environment where young learners can discover their artistic potential. The studio encourages children to explore different forms of artistic expression, develop their technical abilities and, most importantly, express their individual thoughts and imagination through art.

The exhibition featured an impressive collection of original artworks, each reflecting months of learning, experimentation, practice and dedication. From imaginative concepts to colourful compositions, the creations offered a beautiful insight into the diverse perspectives and evolving artistic abilities of the young participants. Every artwork carried a unique story, revealing the confidence, curiosity and creativity that children develop when given the right guidance and encouragement.

The exhibition was inaugurated in the presence of distinguished guests Arindam Chakraborty, Manjari Ray, Arti Raj and Gagan Sidhu. The occasion also witnessed the participation of parents, art enthusiasts, well-wishers and visitors, who came together to appreciate and encourage the budding artists.
For the young participants, the exhibition was far more than a display of paintings. It was a significant milestone in their creative journeys. Seeing their own creations professionally displayed in an exhibition space and receiving appreciation from visitors brought immense happiness, pride and a renewed sense of confidence. For many children, it was a memorable opportunity to experience the joy of presenting their work before a wider audience.

Behind every artwork was a story of patience, learning and perseverance. The exhibition beautifully demonstrated how art can help children develop not only creative skills but also observation, independent thinking, self-confidence and the courage to express themselves freely.

Ms. Paramita Chowdhury’s initiative reflects the importance of providing children with an encouraging platform where creativity is valued over perfection and every young artist is given the freedom to develop their own artistic identity. Her dedication to teaching and contemporary art has helped create an atmosphere in which children can learn, experiment and grow at their own pace.

The successful completion of the second annual exhibition marks another memorable chapter in the journey of Bombay Baroque Art Studio. More importantly, it reinforces the belief that every child has a creative voice waiting to be discovered and nurtured.

As the exhibition came to a close on September 5, it left behind much more than beautiful artworks. It created lasting memories, celebrated young talent and gave 50 children a reason to believe in their abilities. For each participant, this special experience will remain a cherished childhood memory—a moment when their imagination found a public platform and their artistic dreams came alive.
At Bombay Baroque, every young artist was not just exhibiting a painting but sharing a little piece of their world.
