Breaking away from the conventional idea of a demarcation between science and art, Taalsuraangan, an affiliated cultural institution of the Sarbabharatiya Sangeet O Sanskriti Parishad, beautifully illustrated the power of harmony between both the domains through the musical performance called Abhivyakti, a fusion of Hindustani classical music and cancer consciousness. Scheduled on April 5, 2026, at the Viveka Auditorium in Jayanagar, Bengaluru, and co-organized by Cancer Care India, this event was a true representation of the healing power of music. In addition to this, the show was graced by the presence of a group of distinguished artists whose performance did not stop at merely entertaining the audience but immersed them aesthetically and emotionally. One such performer was renowned Hindustani classical singer Dr. Jayadevi Jangamashetti, who mesmerized the audience with her beautiful performance. In addition to this, solo tabla maestro Ustad Nisar Ahmed enthralled the audience with his rhythmic skills, the melodic performance of violinist Sri Ranjan Kumar Beura and the rare tonal textures presented by harmoniumist Dr. Sri B. Siddhartha further enriched the musical tapestry. The occasion also witnessed the presence of many dignitaries, which included Dr. R. Indira Prasad, who is a renowned gynecologist and obstetrician. One notable dignitary who honored the event was Vidwan Sri Anoor Anantha Krishna Sharma, who is widely regarded as the country’s topmost mridangist. As a token of gratitude to the artists, they were felicitated with bouquets.Every performance struck chords deep within the heart of audiences, leaving them entranced and introspective. However, in addition to its great artistic merit, Abhivyakti delivered a strong message to society. The musical show was intricately integrated with an effort to raise awareness about breast cancer in order to emphasize the significance of early detection as well as social responsibility towards promoting healthcare advocacy. In this context, Sarbabharatiya Sangeet O Sanskriti Parishad, alongside Rotary as a supporting partner, Sakra as the associate partner, and Big Live as the radio partner, played pivotal roles in amplifying this noble cause. In short, Abhivyakti went beyond being a cultural event; it was also a symphony of art and science. Where melodies were the carriers of mindfulness, music played its part as an effective means of healing. In the end, the program left a feeling of inspiration and an eternal message that, when creativity and kindness meet, they create miracles.
